Guys,

I have recently got into shooting clays, I live near Bisley shooting range, and I find nothing more theroputic than getting away from the wife and kids for an hour or so and blowing up little spnning clay disks.

Really clears the mind, and the ears

Anybody else out there in to Shooting

Yes very much so. Great stress reliever (assuming you can hit them) actually even if you can't hit a barn door there is something very satisfying about blasting away with a shotgun.
Bisley of course is well known but there are loads of clubs around even in and around London. Bang!!!!

Hi Guys,

I have shot at clays a few times, on stag weekends and corporate days. A lot of fun, but I never thought about taking it up as a hobby. Do you not have to go through a load of hoops with the police etc

not really,

you have to apply to your local police force and then someone comes out to see you. You then have to get a gun cabinet and get it fitted as you have been instructed, they then come out and check you have put it in right and give you your license.

does take time though approx 4 weeks

I advise get into it first before you go through all that stuff. Like any hobby get a feel for it before you part with cash for all the gear.

I agree totaly with Learner I was shooting with someone elses gun for a year before taking the plunge and getting my own.

Anyway I now have two a Browning 525 and a Hatsan Escort.

I would recomend the Browning as a first gun to anyone.
