Guys,

I just got a cannon 450D digital SLR cammera, and it is absolutley great. I had the 350D previously and I can say hand on heart that it was worth the upgrade.

It weas a no brainer to buy another Cannon thoe, as all of the old lenses still fit the new body.

I have a Canon 400d, do you think it would be worth swaping out to the 450d??

I have a couple of lenses so guess it would just be a body I would need.

hi,

the EOS is an awesome camera and so worth the upgrade. i had a 350D in the office, then we upgraded to the 450D. best camera i have tried in that price bracket.

the other good thing about Canon is the lenses, crystal clear, accurate and high quality.

at home we just upgraded our old 3meg Canon Powershot to a Powershot G9 - 12 megapixels! it is fantastic.

the old powershot took over 7000 images without a single problem. the battery case was held on by masking tape for the last 2000 shots, the top metal casing was held on by blutack, there were more dents than an old morris minor, but it kept on going. it survived Australie (Outback / Jungle / Beach) Europe, America, and more important it survived two children.

The G9 looks a little more delicate, particularly as you can't fold away the screen, but i am happy.

I'm a big fan of the 400D, just don't think I can afford the L lenses that deliver the peachiest of pics. I love motorsport and have got some nice pics with budget Canon 100-300 lens, hope to hone my airshow photo skills at Farnborough in three weeks.

Make sure you get a big memory card as you will take hundreds of baby photos.
