What they say: The Bumbo Baby Seat is a snug and cozy environment for your baby. This revolutionary infant chair is uniquely designed according to the baby’s posture. The Bumbo enables babies to sit upright all by themselves! Bumbo Baby Seats are suitable for babies from as soon as they can support their own heads unaided until they can get out of the seat on their own. This award winning infant chair is manufactured to the highest safety standards from low-density foam material, which makes it lightweight and portable. It is soft and comfortable for the baby, hygienic and nontoxic. The integral outer skin of the material is durable and easy to clean. Our Review:
As with most great ideas this is simple - a moulded foam seat that uses your baby’s own weight to help support them and to close the gap around their legs aiding to hold them in position.
The Bumbo has been around for a few years and has won lots of awards. I would not say it is an essential buy and £29 for a foam seat is quite steep.
However I have used the same Bumbo with both of my kids and I do think it helps them to develop their strength in the back and neck.
Both of my kids loved to sit in the Bumbo and it enables them to be part of what is going on around them. Plug them in and sit them on any flat surface as you go about your daily business, be it DIY or, for the modern guy, cooking the dinner.
The Bumbo is pretty indestructible, and a great idea if you are planning on having more than one kid.
My kids had great use out of theirs and I am sure that I will be passing it on to someone else when number two has finished with it. |
