Our View
Apart from the name “Diaper Vest”, this is a super gilet. An ingenious idea, a piece of clothing you can wear that contains all your baby changing gear, alleviating the need for a bulky bag.
This gilet has a great sporty outdoors look, and you can wear it without anyone knowing its hidden purpose, in fact I have worn it out and about without my kid in tow.
You can load this full of gear, however, if you fill all of its cavernous pockets you do end up looking as though you have put on a couple of stone.
In reality it is great if you are going out for a couple of hours and need to pack enough for 1 change and a feed, and don’t want to take a changing bag with you. i.e. 1 or 2 nappies and nappy bags, a small pack of wipes and a bottle.
I have used this for going out the shops, meeting friends for a coffee and going for lunch at the pub, in all instances it has been more than adequate. However I would say that if I were going for a day out with the family I would still take a bag instead.
It’s a great idea, probably more suited to spring/summer use rather than winter, due to the lack of sleeves. However, it comes highly recommended, and I would probably buy one even if I didn’t have a kid, as I use it all the time anyway.
