What they say:
The Quinny Buzz pushchair is immediately recognisable by its superb design and unique automatic foldout system. Thanks to a specially preformed ergonomic seat, the new Quinny buzz offers even more comfort, and being the lightweight among pushchairs, the Quinny Buzz is highly manoeuvrable. This trendy three-wheeler is available in six sleek colours.
Our View:
As dads, or dads to be, the one thing that we feel you should really be involved in is choosing the pushchair. Let’s face it, if you leave it to your partner you may end up having to push around some girly pink affair that has been chosen for practicality rather than style.
The Quinny Buzz ticks both boxes, it is a great looking and practical pushchair, available in a range of funky colours and, of course, you can get it in black.
It has been around for a few years now, but has evolved over this period with improvements to the seat itself and the locking mechanism for the frame. It is amazing how many people look at or make comment on the pushchair as you are out and about.
The frame itself is the coolest thing about the Buzz, and you will be the envy of your mates as you show off the automatic opening mechanism, well maybe just the ones with kids! It also has an adjustable handle that means that you are able to make the Buzz taller when you are pushing it, avoiding the back ache that taller guys can get when pushing lower pushchairs.
The frame closes down to a compact size, and when you remove the wheels you can fit it into all but the smallest of boots. I would say that the twist and pull method of collapsing the frame is as fiddly today as it was when the Quinny was launched, you do get the knack of it and it is something that easily lived with.
The large rear wheels make it easy to negotiate the odd bit of rough ground and are great for taking it up and down stairs. The smaller front wheels are on 360 degree swivel mount which means that the Buzz is highly manoeuvrable and can turn on a sixpence.
Storage as standard is a little sparse as you only get a small bag that clips to the frame, once you have put your wet weather gear in, there is little space for anything else. However, do not let this put you off, as an aftermarket basket is available which is simple to install and improves the storage problem.
There is a range of extras available, ranging from a carry cot to a sun umbrella. The award winning Maxi Cosi car seat just clips on to the Buzz via two adapters and is available in the same colour range as your Buzz.
With a cool looking and innovative frame, well styled wheels and funky colours the Quinny Buzz should be at the top of the list when looking for your pushchair. For more information on the Quinny Buzz Visit: www.quinny.com |
