Panic and worry !!! 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi all,

I`m about to be a father for the first time and the sense of worry and dread mixed with excitment and anticipation is driving me mad.

Have anyone else been in the same emotional wreckage when the wife has been expecting ?

With the baby being due new years day next year will be interesting.....

I know its easy to say, but there is no point in worrying, all you can do is gen up as best as possible. you can probably apease some of the exitment by going and spending some money on baby gear, I know that helped me when my wife was expecting.

are you worried about the birth or having a new baby

I think the worry has faded to sheer excitment - I feel like a kid awaiting christmas !!

I would like to thank you guys for your support and replies as its nice to know your not the only one to go through it.

I took the advice and bought enough baby stuff to fill a warehouse which solified things - the baby has more clothes than me

Good luck mate!

Mine is due on the 2nd so I'll be thinking of you on New Years.

Seriously though. Hows you're partner reacting to the New Years Eve situation. All I said is I'm sure she won't give birth 1 day early so there's no problem about me going out to a party that night and she went off her rocker. (My eye is still healing)

My wife seems totally fine with it all but then she is the realistic calm one and im the jumpy panicky one without pregnancy.

Due to medical reasons it seems the baby will be whipped out early so i might even have a christmas baby (my mates are thinking its the anti-christ)

Personally I cant wait to be off work so I can support more. I dont think it helps doing a job you really cant stand for every second you are there as I come home and have a whinge about the night shifts.

Good luck with your baby Weylund (and the eye), looks like we will be celebrating within a fortnight. Any idea what the sex is or are waiting for the surprise?
