guys,

my son has plunged in to the terrible twos with both feet. full on temper tantrums if he dosent get his own way, I have treied the naughty corner, but he will just go and stand there indefinetly with no remorse as if it does not bother him.

Any help on this one would be great

....can not offer any advise BUT our two year old is at this same stage. Today I thought for the first time in a long time that in fact our boy is good. We were in a que at the pools and the child (who was about 3) was an absolute nightmare - biting, punching and kicking at his Dad, running off from the que and then annoying other children. Meanwhile my son was standing beside us very content and behaving like and angel. You can never tell just what they are going to get up to daily but it did make me appreciate that my terrible two year old may not be as bad as I sometimes think!!

still having the problems with the tantrums, but the naughty step seems to work, god i cant believe im following the super nanny's advice!!!! that woman is probably going to be single handedly responcible for a whole generation of messed up kids.

I couldnt agree more with your comment on super nanny, my wife has taken to watching these programes.

some of the people on them seem absolutley barmy to let themselves get in that state with their kids.

I think if you use common sence and dont let your kids run wild you will be ok.

Saying that, i have another year and a 1/2 before i can really give advice

I always find that getting down to their level and explaining why what ever they are having a tantrum about is the way it is, works realy well.

just reprimanding them with out explaining why is not going to work out in the long run
