I have seen the review for the wooden thomas stuff on the site, quite a good place to start if you are intrested in getting in to this stuff.

There are lots of diffrent sets, and would probably go for one of the larger ones to start with other than the figure of 8, depends on your budget, this stuff can be expensive.
